A Venezuelan citizen associated with TANCOL groups (Colombian Armed Terrorist Drug Traffickers) was detained after confronting the Bolivarian National Armed Forces in the Paraguaná Peninsula, while trying to cross the Venezuelan Territorial Sea in a small boat with 160 packages of drugs, weapons of war and other accoutrements.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro Moros, authorized at the end of November 2022 the start of Operation Cacique Manaure 2022 in Paraguaná, Falcón state, as part of the commemoration of the 17 years of creation of the Operational Strategic Command (CEOFANB).
He reiterated his call to the authorities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the local governments of Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire, islands subordinate to Europeans kingdoms that are located off the Venezuelan coast, to initiate the necessary coordination in the fight against Colombian violent groups that use this maritime area for their criminal purposes.
