Launch of Chinese DF-16 and DF-11AZT mobile operational-tactical missiles in the Gobi Desert. The DF-16 can have 1, 2 or 3 separate steering caps. Shooting range is from 800 to 1000 km. The DF-11AZT has a range of 500-700 km. In addition to the usually high explosive warhead (HE), this missile can also be equipped with cluster munitions, chemical warheads and volumetric explosives (FAE). It can also have a tactical nuclear load with a capacity of 2 – 20 kg.
