The United Kingdom lies. They never mentioned a Venezuela Reconstruction Unit, nor would we have allowed it. We learned of it through @TheCanaryUK. They masked the destabilizing purpose of their visit with false internal meetings with their Embassy. Here’s the evidence:
The Foreign Minister expressed that “they disguised the destabilizing purpose of his visit with false internal meetings with his Embassy” and showed evidence that accompanied his message.
On May 14, Arreaza delivered a protest note to the diplomatic representative of the United Kingdom in Caracas, Duncan Hill, demanded explanations about the creation of that Venezuelan Reconstruction Unit at the Foreign Ministry of the European country.
“We summon the Charge d’Affaires of the United Kingdom to present a formal protest and demand an explanation for the creation in his Ministry of Foreign Affairs of a Reconstruction Unit of Venezuela. Duncan Hill confirmed this absurdity and tried to justify the unjustifiable, ”Arreaza wrote on Twitter after hearing the news from The Canary.

On that occasion, the Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, pointed out London’s complicity in “maximum pressure” operations against the constitutional government of Nicolás Maduro, in the midst of a global humanitarian crisis .
Moncada not only denounced the above, but also referred to the conversations between representatives of the United Kingdom and the Venezuelan opposition, detailing the proposals for the promotion of British business after the hypothetical overthrow of President Maduro.
