Bolivarian Government has implemented social inclusion policies it’s since arrival have allowed access to housing to be consolidated as a social and fundamental right, as confirmed by the Minister for Habitat and Housing, Ildemaro Villarroel, during his speech in the plenary of the sixth celebration of World City Day, in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
“Housing is a social right in Venezuela and that’s why from the United Nations Program for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat) we declare we’ll continue fighting and winning, the Revolutionary Government celebrates this day contributing to its sustainability, creating models of urban planning with a better quality of life, ”said Villaroel.
Earlier, Villaroel,expressed it’s a recognition for Venezuela and the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV) show the achievements made in Revolution and be part of the speakers of this celebration.
As part of the minister’s agenda in Russia, this Wednesday, October 30, he held a meeting with the executive director of UN-Habitat, Maimunah Mohd Sharif, who agreed on a work agenda with Venezuela, in order to move forward jointly in aspects related to urban planning and development.
At the meeting, Villaroel highlighted the work undertaken by the National Executive to guarantee citizens decent housing, through the GMVV, which is heading to three million Venezuelan households, and stressed that the GMVV is complying with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
