The sovereign will of our people expressed in elections was ratified today by the UN. That is why voting on December 6 is to defend the true independence of Venezuela. The UN General Assembly, 193 countries of the international community, rejected the US practice of imposing authorities and diplomatic representatives of other states against the will of their peoples. It is a victory for the UN Charter and international law.
Today the UN General Assembly recognized the government of President Nicolás Maduro as the sole and legitimate representative of Venezuela for the period 2020-2021.
It is the failure of Trump’s colonial adventure and a victory for the sovereignty and independence of Venezuela.
