This August 30, two uniformed members of the National Police died after an attack against the patrol in which they were traveling in the municipality of Frontino, a western subregion of Antioquia.
The deceased were identified as Major Mauricio Grueso Monterrosa, commander of District 11 of the Frontino Police, and patrolman Wílber Alexánder Silva Goez.
In the first investigations, they indicate that the attack, apparently, was committed by the Edwin Román Velásquez substructure, of the Clan del Golfo, which commits a crime in this region of the country.
