The ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack on Jeddah
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the bombing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in which representatives of European countries were injured. They called the area of attack the “province of Hejaz.”
This is the first attack by ISIS militants in Saudi Arabia in a long time. The last time Islamists attacked Saudi security forces in Riyadh province was in late April 2019
Several people were injured on Wednesday after what French officials described as a “bomb attack” amid a commemoration ceremony for the end of World War I attended by European diplomats at a non-Muslim cemetery in Jeddah.
“The annual ceremony commemorating the end of the First World War at the non-Muslim cemetery in Jeddah, attended by several consulates, was the target of an improvised explosive device attack this morning, which injured several people (.. .)
