The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) deployed Operation Roraima 2022 in La Gran Sabana, to prevent illegal mining, human trafficking and drug trafficking, reported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (CEOFANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through a message on his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez specified that these criminal acts are committed by “armed groups in National Parks and Forest Reserves, considered as protected areas by the State.”
“In La Gran Sabana, Bolívar state FANB deployed in Operation Roraima 2022 against illegal mining, human trafficking and drug trafficking by armed criminal groups in National Parks and Forest Reserves, considered as protected areas by the State,” he posted on Twitter. .
In this regard, the Chief of the CEOFANB highlighted that the FANB troops will remain deployed in the Bolívar state, dismantling illegal mining camps, and they will not allow activities that distort or cause irreversible damage to these Specially Protected Areas.
