In San Antonio del Táchira, authorities of the military forces of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Colombia met with the aim of establishing strategies to optimize security and defense of the border.
From the Bolívar municipality of Táchira state, the meeting was held specifically at the facilities of Detachment 212 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
The representation of the Bolivarian nation was headed by the Sectoral Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, general-in-chief Vladimir Padrino López, and the Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), general-in-chief Domingo Hernández Lares.
While the delegation from the New Granadan country was attended by the Deputy Minister for Defense Strategy and Planning, Major General Ricardo Díaz Torres, as well as the Deputy Minister for Defense and Security Policies, Rafael Lara Lozada.
It should be remembered that after the joint declaration and the agreements signed last November 1th in the city of Caracas, by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and his counterpart, Gustavo Petro, progress continues in bilateral relations among sister nations.
