Social movements and various political organizations in Spain gathered this Saturday at the headquarters of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs located in Madrid, to reject Juan Guaidó’s visit to that country.
“We want to express our outrage by this usurper of the State of Venezuela that nobody has chosen, is a person who proclaimed himself and in Europe anyone who self-proclaims is arrested,” said Spanish politician Willy Meyer in a statement to Venezuelan Television (VTV ).
He added that it is “unheard of that a person adopting this attitude can tour throughout Europe to seek the support of governments.”
He stressed “Venezuela does not need people like Guaidó who remain more isolated from their own people … The end of Guaidó is very close, increasingly isolated and more isolated.”
For its part, Araceli Escuedo of the Solidarity Movement with Venezuela, said that “the Spanish people do not want Guaidó what we want he leaves..”
“Here he is only supporting by right and extreme right wing. We don’t want a man who has taken the money of the Venezuelan people to step on Spanish soil, ”Escudero said.
“The United States tries to revive a dead man”
Carolus Wimmer, an activist from the Communist Party of Venezuela, said Guaidó’s tour of Europe is part of the United States’ attempt to “revive a dead man”, this in reference to the popularity that the deputy has lost in Venezuela and the world.
