More than 1,500 troops will participate this Saturday November in the military exercise ‘Synergy 01/20’ in the Canary Islands, Spain, which will be carried out by land, sea and air, as explained by the Spanish Defense Staff.
The objective is to check force coordination of the four Operational Commands (Land, Maritime, Aerospace and Cyberspace) in the Armed Forces and their application in the permanent operations they undertake throughout the year.
The exercise, planned since 2019, will take place between November 28 and December 3 in the Canary archipelago and Defense already warns its citizens that they will perceive the presence in their territory of numerous military personnel, including overflights of military aircraft.
The ‘Synergy 01/20’, which will be under the operational control of the Operations Command (MOPS), will propose a simulated crisis scenario to test the response of all Armed Forces.
