In the first half of 2022, the Government of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez approved four licenses for the export of defense material and dual use – technical name of the weapon – to the Kingdom of Morocco, for a total value of 30 million euros.
The report prepared by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism on exports of defense material in the first half of 2022 reveals it in that period of time 1,181 licenses for the sale of weapons were approved, which translated into income of 4,192 million euros for the Spanish industry.
In addition, it is specified that all the stock was destined for the Moroccan armed forces -other end users, such as police forces- would fit.
