Another assassination attempt on a high official in Nigeria
In the Ehime Mbano district of Imo State, a convoy of the former governor of this state, Ikedi Ohakim, was attacked. A car bomb exploded on the way along which the convoy was traveling, the ex-governor managed to escape, but 4 of his guards, including the officer, died.
Ohakim himself noted that the assassination attempt was professionally planned and he managed to survive thanks to an armored car and driver skills.
Earlier, IS militants had already attacked the palace of the governor of the state of Kogi in the same way, it is likely that the Islamists were responsible for this attack.
