The frigate “Admiral Grigorovich” of the Black Sea Fleet arrives in Port Sudan for the first time in modern Russian history, the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet said.
During the visit, it is planned to replenish supplies of the frigate, the personnel will rest after participating in the multinational naval exercises “AMAN-2021” in the Arabian Sea, which took place from February 15 to 16.
During the maneuvers, the ships’ crews worked in interaction to repel attacks from small high-speed targets, conducted training on joint maneuvers with the formation of march orders, and also took cargo from the moving supply ship.
In addition, the military conducted anti-piracy exercises with fire from naval artillery systems, including against surface targets such as Killer Tomato at a distance of about five kilometers.
