Revolutionary forces, members of social movements and popular organizations marched in Caracas, and in various states of the country, to ratify their support for the Bolivarian Revolution and for participatory and proactive democracy, 65 years after the fall of the dictatorship of General Marcos Pérez Jiménez, on January 23, 1958, the popular insurrection day.
The protesters reaffirmed their support for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and will honor the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, in addition to highlighting the rejection of interventionist actions against the country.
Every January 23th, the people’s victory for the defeat of imperialism will be celebrated, I ask you to be permanently mobilized and fight for the union against the sanctions and criminal blockade”, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, along the first combatant (first lady), Cilia Flores, and her cabinet to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the fall of the Marcos Pérez Jiménez dictatorship.
During the massive concentration, which ended on the balcony of the Miraflores Palace, the head of state specified that the youth, peasants, fishermen, the patriotic woman and the indigenous peoples in Venezuela are aware, and this year 2023 must be of effort and national rebirth, with perseverance.
