China with an eye on the enemy
China has deployed a state-of-the-art radar station to track India’s Tezpur Air Force Base in Assam, as well as a missile test center on Abdul Kalam Island in the Bay of Bengal.
The PLA compound is deployed 3 km from the Myanmar border and 575 km from the Chinese army’s object of interest in Assam.
The radar, supposedly identified as Type-609, is capable of detecting aircraft and low-signature ballistic missiles.
In the context of escalating tensions between the two countries and the situation along the line of de facto control, Beijing continues to monitor the regional adversary.
