Polish Prime Minister Says Anti-Russian Sanctions Did Not Work as Planned, as Evidenced by Strengthening Ruble
“The sanctions that we have imposed against Russia until now, do not work,” Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Saturday (April 2).
“It is proven by the ruble exchange rate that is now returning back to the moment of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine,” he added. “This means that our actions have not caused the effect, desired by the European leaders.”
According to the Polish prime minister, “some European leaders say that we have to get back to normality as they are being pressured by European businesses.”
Still, Morawiecki urged Europe to slap “more real sanctions.”
