The Italian police have led the international action, which has spread to Spain and France.
Seven have been detained in this cell. One of its members is considered to have participated, among other events, in an attack with explosives against a police station in Rome in 2017. In that attack they used an device made up of almost two kilos of explosives.
Members of the Spanish Police General Information Commissariat have participated in the operation. No further arrests are ruled out. In Spain, the action has focused on Almería.
