The airport in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, part of which is occupied by the US military, was again subjected to harassing bombardment, this time with six 107mm rockets. To protect the American positions, the American C-RAM air defense system became operational again, but at least some of the shells still exploded on the territory of the airport. One of the rockets hit an old, damaged Iraqi Airbus A300 which, after being out of service, had been sitting in a sinkhole at the airport for many years. The photo also shows an improvised launcher for nine 107mm rockets, as well as three unlaunched Iranian-made Fajr-1 RS 107mm rockets.
