On October 19, 2021, air targets approaching the state border of the Russian Federation were detected by Russian air control means over the neutral waters of the Black sea.
To identify detected air targets and prevent violations of the State Border of the Russian Federation, two Su-30 fighter jets from the air defence duty forces of the Black Fleet were lifted into the air.
Russian fighter crews identified the air targets as two B-1B two supersonic strategic bombers accompanied by two KC-135 tanker aircraft of the US Air Force and escorted them over the Black sea. After the turn of foreign military aircraft from the State Border of the Russian Federation, the Russian fighter jet returned safely to its home airfield.
All flights of Russian aircraft were carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
There was no violation of the State border of the Russian Federation.
