North Korea launched two cruise missiles from a submarine.

At dawn on March 12, exercises were conducted on the underwater launch of strategic cruise missiles. The launch was made from the August 24th Hero Ship in Gyeongpo Bay. Cruise missiles flew 1,500 kilometers in 2 hours and 6 minutes. The exercises successfully achieved their goal. This was the first launch of a North Korean cruise missile from a submarine. The August 24 Hero Ship submarine was used to launch North Korea’s first Pukguksong-1 SLBM ballistic missile underwater.
