The case of the Iranian soccer player Amir Nasr Azadani is about a campaign of disinformation and manipulation against Iran to demonize the Persian country, says a political scientist.
The Iranian Justice denies that the player Nasr Azadani has been sentenced to death, as alleged by the foreign press. The president of the Supreme Court of the province of Isfahan, Hoyatolislam Asadolá Yafari, has affirmed that three security agents were killed during the riots registered on November 16 in the city of the same name, for which there are nine defendants, including the soccer player.
Therefore, he has assured, Nasr Azadani is in pretrial detention awaiting trial, while the player has clearly confessed to his criminal actions. Also, there are camera recordings from the scene and sufficient documentation confirming that this person is a member of an armed group. In recent months, the rioters, taking advantage of the death of the young Iranian Mahsa Amini — which occurred on September 16 in a hospital in Tehran, after being detained by the police – have provoked riots by attacking the security forces and causing partial and total destruction of public and private property.
Meanwhile, many agitators were arrested and brought to trial, who admitted to the crimes they committed. Meanwhile, the Western media have tried to mount a campaign to influence public opinion and take advantage of “public sympathy” to rally the people against the Islamic Revolution.
