• The Ukrainian attack on oil deposit in the southwest of Russia does not facilitate the progress of the peace negotiations between Moscow and kyiv, commented Dmitri Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president.
• Responding to a journalist’s question as to whether the incident near Belgorod represents an escalation of the conflict, the spokesman stated: “Certainly, this is not something that could be perceived as creating comfortable conditions for the continuation of negotiations.”
• Regarding the military aspect, he said that it is up to the security agencies to make this type of evaluation.
The attack on the Russian Belgorod oil depot occurred as a result of an airstrike by two helicopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which entered the territory of Russia at very low altitude, no casualties – the governor of Belgorod.
