More than 1,690 gas canisters used as improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by the Colombian drug-trafficking armed terrorist groups (TANCOL) in Apure State, were deactivated by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) during Operation “Vuelvan Caras 2022”. During 2022, the FANB, in permanent deployment in the exercise of National Sovereignty, managed to disable 118 clandestine runways used by transnational terrorist groups as an airlift to extract illegal mining and drug trafficking through Venezuela.
