Direct combat against drug trafficking through the Great Peace Quadrants Mission. In Venezuela , illicit drug trafficking has been hit hard , the police seized 1,331 kg ( +1 ton ) , a boat and 15 people arrested in La Guaira state.
In this sense, the national anti-drug superintendent Major General Richard López Vargas reported that in the investigations they managed to detect the connection of this criminal group, who were trying to send the drug to Europe and in which 15 crew members were involved.
“The police integration allowed the result of this procedure, after an arduous follow-up resulting in the interception of this vessel and the operation to dismantle the structured group of organized crime,” he specified.
On February 2023 so far, two thousand 441 kilograms of illegal substances in the national territory had been seized, as part of the anti-drug policy established in the Great Peace Quadrant Mission, as a strategic line for the construction of the peace.
