The Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces of Venezuela announced the deployment of paratrooper troops in the western of the country.
The mission is to prevent illegal incursions of mercenary civilians or paramilitaries into the soil of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The deployment is carried out within the “Sentinel Operation Framework” with the aim of safeguarding the national territory.
In this sense, the Strategic Operational Commander considered the operation as a “permanent and progressive deployment to fight against paramilitarism, drug trafficking, and Colombian trochers (illegal entry into the country).”
This operation, at the same time, seeks the confrontation with Covid-19, as a task of the Venezuelan military since the President of Venezuela and Commander in Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro Moros, established guidelines to counter the pandemic through radical and preventive quarantine to provide protection and health to the population.
