
The US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, arrived in New Delhi on Monday with the intention of strengthening military ties with India and just one week before the US elections, in the first stage of his Asian diplomatic offensive against Chinese influence.
Pompeo arrived in the Indian capital around 1:30 p.m. local time (08:00 GMT), according to images released by the local agency ANI, within the framework of the third round of India-US 2 + 2 ministerial talks, where the head of US diplomacy and US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper will meet their Indian counterparts Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh tomorrow.
