In almost all French cities, strikes and mass protests have begun against the pension reform, according to which it is intended to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64 years.
Due to the strikes, classes and some transport have been interrupted, electricity generation has been reduced and shipments at oil refineries have stopped.
According to polls, 60% of citizens oppose the reform initiated by President Macron.
At least 140,000 protesters have turned out in Marseille, 60,000 in Bordeaux, 50,000 protesters in Paris and another 25,000 in the region, 40,000 people in Lyon, 36,000 in Toulouse, 30,000 in Lille, and tens of thousands more in other cities.
