Mass protests against local elites, corruption and the government in general erupted yesterday in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The clashes take place against the backdrop of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Greater Lebanon and the visit to the country of the President of France, who already considers himself the new master of the country.
