Launch of a cruise missile complex “Kalibr” from diesel-electric submarine Volkhov

In the Sea of Japan, the new diesel-electric submarine “Volkhov” of the Pacific Fleet carried out the launch of a cruise missile complex Kalibr (from Russian, Калибр: Caliber) from a submerged position at a ground target. Before conducting a combat exercise, the submariners made a covert sortie to the designated area.

In the estimated time, the missile hit a coastal target at the Surkum tactical field, located in the Khabarovsk Territory. The firing range was more than 1 thousand km.
