The Joint Simulated Training and Instruction Center (CIESC) was created in Venezuela because the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, thinking about the technological development and modernization of the Institution, acquired in 2006 the MI17-v5, MI35M and MI26T rotary wing systems by Russian manufacture. Simultaneously, the construction and creation of helicopter simulators of these systems is carried out, to improve and perfect the training of the crew, managing to qualify them as pilots and flight engineers.
In 2012, the facilities of the Joint Simulated Training and Instruction Center (CIESC) were founded, bearing the eponymous name of “Brigadier General Oscar José Martínez Mora”, who died in the line of duty as a flight instructor in an MI17-v5 helicopter and who in the development of his career stood out as CIESC Project Manager and as rector of the aforementioned System platform.
