
Iván Duque announces “maximum military deployment” in Cali after violent day of protests

The president of Colombia, Iván Duque, has announced this Friday night begins the “maximum military deployment” in the city of Cali after a violent day of protests against its Government that has left at least four people dead.
The president arrived in the city in the afternoon along the Minister of the Interior, Daniel Palacios, to preside over a security council together with local authorities and other officials.
