Israel Defense Forces have on open confrontation with Hezbollah for the first time since 2006, destroying several observation posts of on the Lebanon bordertonight.
An F-16 fighter jet and several AH-64 Apache helicopters attacked Hezbollah targets in response to Israeli firing on the border from the Lebanese side on the evening of 25 August.
As a result of the strikes and the use of lighting ammunition, fires were recorded on the Lebanese side. There are no casualties among the Israel Defense Forces servicemen, no casualties are reported on the adjacent side.
