Iraq: Islamic Resistance reports three improvised explosive device attacks today against the US convoy supply team convoy in Salah al-Din and Muthanna provinces.
Three other US logistics convoys have been targeted in Iraq; several US military vehicles are reportedly ablaze.
As Saberin News announced through its channel on the Telegram social media, a convoy of the so-called anti-terrorist ‘coalition’ led by the United States was attacked on Thursday in the central province of Salah al-Din.
After the attack, the flames engulfed several of the vehicles of the American convoy, added the media, asserting that the Iraqi resistance group Ashab al-Kahf has claimed responsibility for the assault.
In addition, a bomb has exploded in the path of another US convoy in the Al-Yusufiya region, in the south of Baghdad (Iraqi capital), causing damage to vehicles.
On the other hand, according to local media Al Sumaria, a military caravan of the so-called ‘coalition’ troops, led by the US, was the same Thursday the target of a bomb attack near the Jraischan border crossing, which connects Kuwait with the Iraqi city of Basra (south); the attack didn’t cause casualties.
US troops continue to be targeted in Iraq at a time of great dissatisfaction among Iraqis over Washington’s military presence. The Iraqi authorities and resistance groups warn that they will treat the US forces as “occupying troops” and demand their immediate departure from Iraqi soil, since, they denounce, the US has violated the sovereignty of the Arab country on several occasions.
Al-Fath: US, yes or yes, must withdraw from Iraq due to popular outcry
Furthermore, rocket attacks on military centers and the US embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone have been frequent.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance Movement (Kataeb Hezbollah) regards the assault on the US embassy in Baghdad as an “American show and plot,” warning that Washington is trying to create crises and then push the forces of Iraqi resistance to react with virulence; however, he assures us, we are aware of this plot ”.
