
Tehran announced today, Monday, that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit the South American continent, where he will participate in the swearing-in ceremony for the new president of Bolivia, and then head to the republics of Venezuela and Cuba.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in an Internet press conference: “Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will pay a visit starting tomorrow to participate in the ceremony of entrusting the new president of Bolivia, and then he will travel to Cuba and Venezuela.”
Khatibzadeh also referred to the developments in Bolivia and the bilateral relations between Iran and Bolivia with the start of the new government, saying: “The foreign minister’s visit shows the two countries’ willingness to strengthen relations,” expressing his hope that “relations between the two countries will take a natural and excellent path in the service of their interests.”
