Images captured by a remotely operated vehicle show the wreckage of the sunken submarine KRI Nanggala (402), which disappeared this week near the island of Bali as it was preparing to carry out a simulated torpedoing.
The Indonesian Navy confirmed this Sunday that it had located the Chakra-class submarine (type-209/1300) in pieces, at a depth of almost 840 meters, and declared dead the 53 crew members who were on board.
