Terrorists liquidated in Kashmir
Yesterday, Indian law enforcement agencies launched a massive counter-terrorist operation in Shopian County. Law enforcement officers, together with the army, cordoned off the area and began a podomovo bypass of the territory. When trying to get close to one of the houses, militants fired at security forces. Three bandits were liquidated on the spot with return fire.
Security officials continue the operation and ask residents not to leave their homes. Indian media say the special forces are looking for another militant. According to some reports, the liquidated were from the pro-Pakistani group Hizb-Al-Mujahidin (KhaM). In early May, the Indian security forces liquidated the leader of the HaM after which riots broke out in Kashmir.
