The Iranian army launched the “Zulfiqar 1401” military exercises in the south of the country with the aim of announcing to the Iranian people and friends that Iran is strong enough to face all threats.
The chief of staff of the Iranian Army, Admiral Habibullah Sayyari, clarified that the exercises kicked off in the Jask region, east of the Strait of Hormuz, up to 10 degrees north in the northern Indian Ocean.
In the event of attacking the territorial integrity and interests of Iran, the enemy will know that we will respond without qualms, the senior military chief remarked.
All the intelligent systems to be used in the maneuvers are locally manufactured and developed in recent years, Sayyari added.
The exercises are part of the annual training schedule to improve combat power.
