Soldiers free more than 60 women and girls kidnapped by suspected jihadists in Burkina Faso
An operation by the Burkina Faso Armed Forces in the Sahel region (north of the African country) managed to free this Friday 62 adult women, adolescents and girls, in addition to four babies who were kidnapped a week ago by suspected jihadists, local media reported. .
39 of the people released are minors. The victims were kidnapped on the night of January 12-13 while they were looking for fruits and leaves to feed their families.
