Hundreds of anti-war activists gathered in the German city of Kassel in front of the premises of Kraussumfai Vogman (Defense and Rail Industries Company) and Rhine Metall (German company for military and defense equipment).
“We have gathered in front of these tanks and weapons companies today and we ask them to stop producing these weapons,” said one protester.
A number of other protesters chanted, “Dear police, if you want to do your job, please arrest the heads of these defense industries.”
The German city of Kassel is the country’s arms center
The Berlin protest showed that it was rare for the estimated number of police participants (16,000) to exceed the media assumptions (10,000).
