Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) killed five highly dangerous members of the Colombian paramilitary band Los Rastrojos that plagued agricultural producers and merchants in Táchira state border zone and seized material for contraband and extortion.
The information was released by political of this entity, Freddy Bernal, on Twitter.
“From Táchira, our FANB doesn’t rest in the fight against Colombian paramilitarism. Another hard blow to criminal gang Los Rastrojos, dropping five highly dangerous subjects that generated anxiety to our agricultural producers and honest merchants,” Bernal wrote in the social network.
He said the events occurred in Peronilo de Colón sector, Ayacucho municipality, “where material destined for smuggling and extortion was seized,” he said.
“Our congratulations to the FANB, which continues in fight against Colombian paramilitarism. We continue in permanent combat against criminal structures. We are advancing in protection and tranquility of the population, producers and merchants of Táchira,” Bernal reaffirmed.
