Facebook has deleted dozens of Romanian accounts from which unknown persons allegedly agitated US residents to vote for Donald Trump.
An entire network was discovered: using fake accounts, attackers impersonate Americans and distribute content in support of Donald Trump’s candidacy in the November elections. It included, among other things, the materials of the QAnon conspiracy theory (in short, its adherents believe that Trump is waging a secret war against the pedophile elite in the American government, business and the media).
Facebook’s head of security, Nathaniel Gleicher, said the company hadn’t yet determined whether the Romanian network was operating for cash or an idea, but the accounts were hastily blocked.
