Delegations from Colombia Government and the guerrilla of the National Liberation Army (ELN) have offered this Saturday a joint declaration at the end of the extraordinary meeting that was held in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital.
The parties set the second cycle of talks for next February 13 in Mexico, where they plan to begin “discussing and agreeing” on a bilateral ceasefire. In addition, they will address the participation of society “in the construction of peace” and will carry out “a joint examination of the achievements and difficulties” in the implementation of the agreements agreed upon during this first cycle that began in Caracas last November.
