After 19 years of waiting, in which some of the participants died from various ailments and others suffered health problems, the Dominican soldiers who were sent to invade Iraq in 2003 and 2004 began to receive the per diems owed to them.
The payment that is delivered to 442 veterans who were part of the Quisqueya I and II Task Forces and amounting to RD$69 million was initiated this Thursday by the Ministry of Defense.
