(18+) In Afghanistan, during a special operation in the Balkh province, special forces eliminated five Daesh militants. The operation took place on the night of March 17-18 at several addresses in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif at once.
According to the Taliban movement, among the neutralized jihadists was a financier and foreigners: citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The liquidated Daesh cell is involved in organizing an assassination attempt against the governor of Balkh province. Several Pashtun nationalists were reportedly fatally wounded in the firefight.
