Major cyberattack against the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The ICRC has reported that the personal data and confidential information of 515,000 highly vulnerable people in various countries have been breached.
The data comes from sixty national societies of the Red Cross and the Red Moon, which operates in the countries of Muslim confession.
One of the pirated information packages is the so-called “Restoring family ties”, which seeks to reunite members of the same family separated by wars, migration and disasters.
Now due to the cyber attack, the ICRC has been forced to shut down its computer systems and stop operating this aid programme.
