
The third conference on preparations for the 2021 International Military Games (Army Games 2021) was held virtually, with the participation of representatives from 40 countries and territories around the world.
Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Peru and Saudi Arabia will participate for the first time in ARMI 2021
The final III International Planning Conference was held at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center with the participation of representatives of the host countries of ARMI-2021 and the military diplomatic corps.
The conference was attended by representatives of 12 military departments of the ARMI-2021 co-organizing countries: Armenia, Algeria, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Russia, as well as more than 130 representatives of the corps. Military diplomat from 27 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
At the conference, the Russian side brought the results of the work on the preparations for the Army-2021 to the military attachés of foreign states, to the representatives of the countries organizing the competitions. So, as of June 1, 277 teams from more than 40 countries expressed their desire to participate in ARMI-2021.
Four countries: Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Peru and Saudi Arabia will participate in the games for the first time. The procedure for crossing the border and the requirements for compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards for arriving teams were also raised.
The International Army Games – 2021 will take place from August 22 to September 4. During the games, 34 international competitions are planned.
Russia will host 16 competitions. Belarus, China and Iran will hold three competitions on their territories. Two contests will be held in Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia. Algeria, Armenia, Serbia and Qatar will hold one competition each. For the first time, Algeria, Vietnam, Serbia and Qatar will host ARMI-2021 competitions on their territory.
The Defense Ministry noted that 156 teams from 32 countries participated in 30 Army Games competitions. The Russian national team won 25 competitions, the Belarusian national team won 4, the Uzbek national team won 3.
