The group had participated minutes before a demonstration against racism, which took place peacefully in the Plaza Santos Andrade, in front of the historic building of the Federal University of Paraná. The confusion started later.
After the event, the protesters, mostly in disguise, went to the Civic Center. Along the way, however, they began to throw stones at bank branches.
When they reached the state government building, they took out a Brazilian flag and set it on fire.
The nonconformers shouted slogans in front of the Iguazú Palace. They littered trash cans and bags, and painted graffiti at bus stops.
At the moment, the police do not know the number of people in the protest. There is also no information on the wounded officer.
