
Belarus Ministry of Defense informs about a military exercises near the BelNPP (BELARUSIAN NUCLEAR
POWER PLANT) and at training grounds in the Grodno region from 17 to 20 August.
A brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus will move to the Gozhsky training ground near the Lithuanian border, where it will work on strengthening the border.
Subdivisions of three anti-aircraft missile regiments in the west of the country took up combat duty as part of the exercises.
At the same time, exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization forces will be held in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.
The air defense systems of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus on the border with Lithuania were put on high alert after reports from the country’s Defense Ministry about the start of exercises to strengthen the border.
Note that the Minister of Defense of Lithuania called the words of Alyaksandr Lukashenka about the advance of NATO forces to the Belarusian border “a lie”.
