Barinas is a city in west central Venezuela. According to the 2011 census, its population is 353,442. It is the capital of the Barinas Municipality and the State of Barinas. The city of Barinas is known as the capital of Los Llanos.
To the west of Venezuela is the Edo. Barinas, known as “The capital of Venezuela rivers ” its water abundance in quality and quantity determines the possibility of taking advantage of these resources for the generation of hydroelectricity, irrigation and flood control.
